Day Three and Four with the Invisible Children!

On the third day I sadly didn’t get to go and see all my friends! But, at least I was allowed to go around with a NEW person named Jared White (he is the program’s director). We stayed in the building for half the day because he needed to get some more work done, but for the REST of the day he drove me around the town because he had to meet with some people about some… stuff. By the end of the day I was car sick and tired of shaking hands with people. Another driver named Komakeck Richard came and picked me up from our current location because Jared had to meet with some more people. I got home (to my hotel) and immediately collapsed in the lobby by the front desk. I went to bed at about eight or nine because I figured that tomorrow would be a more EXCITING day.

Fourth day! I set a wake up call for eight thirty in the morning and was picked up by a NEW driver. His name was Kilara Thomas. During the ride Kilara and I talked about what I had been doing, how I had been doing, and whom I had met so far. I think by the time he pulled into the driveway of the office building we had become pretty good friends. Today I had planned to spend with the security supervisor Okwera Francis but supposedly he had to take care of some family business, so I helped the mechanic! His name was Burungi Robert. When I arrived at his office slash mechanic room he was sitting behind his desk reading over some papers. I took a step closer and he noticed me and looked up. I came forward and he told me to take a seat… so I did in a small wooden chair over in the corner. He then finished reading and stood up, introduced himself, and told me to come with him. He then led me through a hallway and onto the porch. Next he sat me down on a small wooden bench and started to talk to me about fixing stuff and how that helped with ALL THE OTHER STUFF. I got through the day without having to do a repair, all I did was read a magazine and stroll around the building and the garden.
